As we eagerly anticipate the opening ceremony just hours away, we stand on the brink of witnessing history in the making. Over the next fortnight, this prestigious event will not only showcase sporting excellence but also illuminate the world with cultural celebration and unforgettable moments.
Whether you're a sports fanatic, cheering patriotically for your nation's champions, or simply captivated by the unity and camaraderie of the Olympic spirit, let's embark on this thrilling adventure together. Paris is poised to host the world's greatest athletes, and bringing the Olympic Games into the office can be a fun and engaging way to boost morale, foster team spirit, and even involve your clients.

The Opening Ceremony
Kick off the event with your own ceremony – maybe a brief introduction, lighting of the “flame” (candle or symbolic item), think theme songs, national anthems (some companies have many cultures so don’t forget to embrace all cultures).
Office Olympics
Choose a variety of events that can be done safely in the office or if you have a recreational area nearby, this could also be an option.
Team Building/Client Related Activities
Let's incorporate team building and client activities such as office trivia, puzzle solving, and escape room challenges etc (there are endless ideas).
Medal Ceremonies
Award medals for performance throughout the games – gold, silver and bronze daily or weekly champions/teams.
Scoreboards and Points System
Keep track of scores throughout the events and display them on a scoreboard – this adds to the competitive spirit and gives individuals/teams something to strive for. Don’t forget to promote sportsmanship – emphasise fair play, teamwork, and encouragement for all to be involved throughout the games.
Closing Ceremony
Conclude with a closing ceremony where you can recap highlights of the Games and present awards. It’s a fantastic opportunity for a team gathering or small celebration.
There are numerous possibilities at minimal cost, including office decorations, providing food and refreshments, and organizing dress days that support various teams, cultures etc. I'm sure you all have the creativity to put together some fantastic events!
