It’s International Women’s Day

Drive by Friday –

International Women’s Day (IWD) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.

Significant activity is witnessed worldwide as groups come together to celebrate women’s achievements for women’s equality.

Marked annually on March 8th, IWD is one of the most important days of the year to:

  • celebrate women’s achievements

  • educate and raise awareness about women’s equality

  • call for positive change advancing women

  • fundraise for women-focused charities

Everyone, everywhere can play a part in helping forge gender equality. From a wide range of IWD campaigns, events, rallies, and performances – to festivals, parties, fun runs, and celebrations – all IWD activity is valid. That’s what makes IWD so inclusive.

So, what is the campaign theme for 2024?  – ‘INSPIRE INCLUSION’

What does that mean?  It is the opportunity to inspire others to understand and value women's inclusion where we can help forge a better world.  And when women themselves are inspired to be included, there's a sense of belonging, relevance, and empowerment.

So, make IWD your day and do what you can, in your own way, to help forge a gender-equal world.

  • What can we all do to ‘inspire inclusion’?

  • Strike the #InspireInclusion pose to show solidarity. When we truly value difference, inclusion comes from the heart.

  • Inspire others to help forge an inclusive world by sharing your #InspireInclusion image across social media using #IWD2024 #InspireInclusion.

  • When we inspire others to understand and value women's inclusion, we forge a better world.

  • And when women themselves are inspired to be included, there's a sense of belonging, relevance, and empowerment.

I have personally seen the growth of women’s inclusion in the Novated Leasing, Fleet Management and Automotive sectors.  It’s refreshing to see the change and number of high performers who now, and in the future will contribute to the industry.

Get involved and keep driving for inclusion. Have a great International Women’s Day!
